Chapter Twelve

Leigh, obviously, had completely forgiven Lucas for the one-sided blowjob earlier that morning. He leaned in, kissing her again. “Love you, too.” He locked her in the car and went inside, returning a few minutes later. Once they were home, they undressed and collapsed in bed after he placed one of the nasal strips on his nose.

He wrapped his arms around her, spooning his body around hers. “Good night, my sweet little slut.”

“It was, wasn’t it?”

“Mmhmm.” She tried to keep from drifting off. “Thank you.”

“Thank you.”

“I mean it.” She glanced back at him. “Thank you for all of this. For us. And yes, I absolutely do want to marry you. You’re right. There’s nothing to say we can’t do this from time to time and be happily married to each other. We’re not getting any younger. We need to enjoy life while we can, because once we have a baby, or more than one, we won’t be able to do this kind of stuff on a whim.”

He kissed her. “Absolutely. Whatever you want to do.”
